Hi Tena, while I do think it’s great to get into the affiliate marketing mindset as soon as possible, you might not be able to understand everything in the course fully without any blogging experience. I don’t think you necessarily need to take a blogging course to start with, but I’d recommend at least get a little bit of blogging under your belt before diving into affiliate marketing. 🙂

I do think it’s great to get into the affiliate marketing mindset early on, but if you have zero experience in the blogging world, you might find the content of this course a little hard to fully grasp at first. It’s hard to say exactly as i have been working on affiliate marketing for some time so have laid a lot of groundwork. I’ve made several tweaks to my strategy since doing Michelle’s course. My affiliate income has increased by about $1500 a month. There is a lot more tweaks I’m still making especially in regards to what she recommends via Pinterest so do expect results to continue to grow. These are strategies I can apply forever so the ROI will always be increasing.

Signups and registrations generate company leads, while sales generate immediate cash in your pocket. With this type of advertising you pay the host an agreed-upon fee for each specified type of action. For leads that can mean a set amount, while for sales that can mean a set percentage of the sale amount. This method of online advertising is called “cost per action” (CPA). It can also be referred to as cost per acquisition, “pay per action” (PPA) or performance-based advertising. How can cost per action advertising benefit advertisers? Cost per action advertising generally involves less risk for advertisers than other advertising techniques. Since you only pay when you get a lead or a sale, you are protecting yourself from potential eyeballs that won’t convert, as well as click fraud. Those possibilities can put a dent in your pocketbook fast. At the same time, you are ensuring that you only pay when you have money coming in, or when the prospect for money coming in is relatively great. How can cost per action hurt advertisers? You can actually lose money from a cost per action campaign if you have a low leads to sales ratio. But to qualify for the program, advertisers must prove they manage a site that attracts a desirable audience, has enough conversions, and makes enough money. The exact criteria may differ from advertiser to advertiser. Other affiliate networks may also pass you by due to your track record or finances. Affiliate networks like LinkShare, PeerFly, and Affiliate.com ask about such topics as online revenues, monthly marketing budgets, and cost per action offers in their online advertising applications. You may find that individual companies have more lenient criteria for doing business. You can also build your own affiliate network by handpicking company websites you are interested in advertising on, and reaching out to the sites about potential cost per action opportunities. How much should I pay per action? While it is ultimately up to a publisher to accept or reject your offer, you should go into cost per action negotiations with a figure in mind. It's important to do some homework when determining how much you are willing to spend per action. For example, if you are already involved with a cost per click or cost per impression campaign, you should figure out how much you are paying for each conversion, whether it is a lead or sale. You can determine this amount by using an online cost per action calculator, like the one offered by ClickZ. To get your cost per action you must enter either your cost per 1,000 impressions or cost per click, your conversion rate, and, if it’s a cost per impression campaign, your click through rate. You can get this information from within your pay per click account or a web analytics tool. Once you have your current cost per action, you should try using a lower cost per action for a cost per action campaign. Then what should I do? Over time, evaluate how return on investment (ROI) from your CPA campaign compares with the ROI on your cost per impression or cost per click campaigns. If you have a much better return on investment for the cost per action campaign, you should consider scrapping the cost per impression or CPC campaign. But if you have a much better return on investment for the cost per impression or cost per click campaign, you should probably negotiate a different cost per action amount or reconsider the CPA campaign. If some of your products or services do better with one campaign type and others with another type, you can diversify your advertising methods.
Education requirements vary depending on what kind of work is being done. To be hired for a Work From Home position in Medical Billing, for example, applicants are often expected to have medical billing training and experience. Other than being sufficient for a new and intermediate blogger, MSAM also allows me to promote it year round with good commission on sales too which AMFB doesn’t allow. If I can be free to sell an awesome + popular product always that’s important for me too. But all else apart, if I had to pay the price for Michelle’s FB group once, I would. In a short time, I have become a long time fan! The stuff that you share with us is incredible. On top of that, your strategies & points are actionable. These days most of the big SEO companies (kissing up to brands) are putting out stuff in the name of being Whitehat. What they don’t realize is that affiliates don’t read their blogs anymore cuz they dont serve content that helps the little guy. I even tried offers like “Pre-paid mobile credits”. This last one had many clicks because I track the affiliate links with Google Analytics, but I noticed their tracking system for some “reason” doesn’t work, in the end found out they’re a scam, after I complained with them, they told me to contact their Analytics Software Developer (A third party) directly, they basically washed their hands saying it was not their fault that the system they use for tracking clicks was not working.
In short CPA Affiliate Marketing requires users to click on an affiliate link and complete a desired ‘action’. The action can be anything which can be in the form of filling a form, signing up for an offer, completing a survey, downloading software, etc. Advertisers generate leads through CPA Affiliate Marketing and Publishers get paid for generating a lead. It is as simple as that.
Use an email on your domain – I received this information on good faith from an industry insider a while back. If nothing else you will want to use an email that looks a little like this ‘[email protected]'. Even if you primarily use a GMail account or similar you will want to do this and set up a redirect. Many CPA networks will instantly reject any applicant who uses a free email address as they are so easy to set up and they have no verification you are actually the person who owns your site.
Min. bid limit: The minimum CPC bid that you want Google Ads to set for any campaigns or ad groups using your Target CPA strategy. Note that the Google Ads bidding algorithm might set a max. CPC bid that's below your minimum bid limit, generally due to smart pricing. This means that the bid limit that you set here isn't the absolute lowest bid that could be set.
Access to a computer, spreadsheet software (Excel or Google Spreadsheets), an email account, and an eager and open mind! Additionally, I ask that you have at least some online following already. It can be a small one, but you shouldn't be starting from scratch when getting access to this course.
