Some organizations find that providing standard training across all of their call centers creates a consistent level of call center agent expertise and service delivery, which can spur both higher customer satisfaction, and lower agent turnover. In fact, a recent in-depth survey of 22 contact center executives in charge of call centers, conducted by contact center technology provider Knowlagent, highlights the benefits of proper agent training. The survey, which examined the challenges managers face overseeing a global call center operation, found that consistency in the way agents are trained led to significant improvements in customer service.

A word of caution: Remember that where very little is required, very little is offered. These jobs don’t pay much, and they are not going to provide a reference for your resume. It may take working at several different of these online jobs to pull in the income you want. And as always, know the signs of a work-at-home scam as you sort through the opportunities.

CashCrate is an online platform where you can start earning money by completing offers, taking surveys, watching videos, and shopping online using their site. I’ve played around on the site a little bit, and you’ll want to make sure that you read all of the fine print on each and every offer. Many offers require an email address, which means you’ll receive offers from them and other marketers. Tasks pay out anywhere from a few cents to $30.00 or more, and you’ll receive $1 for signing up for an account. Payments are made via check or PayPal.
Call center jobs can be either work at home (a.k.a. virtual call center) or in an office outside the home. Companies may hire call center agents for their own business needs, or they may contract with business process outsourcing firms (BPOs) who provide call center services to other businesses for a fee. Many of the available home-based call center positions are for such BPOs.
Company contracts with agents to do data entry and call center jobs for clients. Pay ranges from $7.20 to $30 an hour. Call center projects include order processing, reservations, enrollments, customer service, sales, market research, technical support, etc. Applicants who successfully complete a two-part online test are placed on a list and notified when a project becomes available.
